CEO and Wealth Management Advisor
Andy Platt started his career at Northwestern Mutual after college and rose through various leadership roles before being promoted to his current position as Managing Director for the Dayton Office. He is the Co-founder & CEO of Platt Allen and specializes in helping C-suite Executives and Business-owners navigate risk, wealth management and investment initiatives.

Personal
Andy and his wife Britt live in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio with their two boys, Carter and Connor. They are active members in the community, having served on various boards including the Dayton Art Institute, Walnut Grove Country Club, Wright State Alumni Association and Miami Valley Golf Association. In 2019, Governor DeWine appointed Andy to the Wright State University Board of Trustees, where he is currently serving a nine-year term. Andy and Britt both enjoy time on the golf course, travelling and any family-fun activities. As a family, the Platt’s attend South Minster Presbyterian church in Centerville.

Michael started his career in financial planning in Northwestern Mutual’s internship program in 2013 before taking on his current role as Co-Founder and President of Platt Allen. He has a calming & systematic approach to problem solving that often leaves his clients with a sense of clarity, relief, and confidence. He enjoys meeting with people who are going through big life transitions like starting a family, changing jobs, retiring, or dealing with the loss of a loved one, because of the opportunity to be a guiding resource for his clients through their transition and beyond.

Michael and his wife Heather, live on a small crop & dairy farm in Xenia, Ohio with their two children Teddy & Nella. In his free time, he enjoys farm work, all outside activities, reading, writing, playing music, & spending quality time with friends & family.

Jay’s financial planning career started in 2015 as a college intern for Northwestern Mutual. Over the last 7 years he has grown to enjoy the roll of building financial plans for client, assisting new financial advisors, and conducting investment audits & trades to make sure clients are optimizing their overall plan to reach the goals they envision for themselves.

Jay, his wife Katya, and daughter Mila enjoy taking their dog Petey on his daily walk around downtown Cincinnati and love to root for their favorite sports teams, UD Flyers, Bengals, & Reds. Free time on the weekend is spend traveling to see family and friends or trying out a new local restaurant/brewery.

Charlie joined Northwestern Mutual Dayton in 2018 after several years in the corporate world. Charlie fell in love with the impact that he can make in the lives of others through Northwestern Mutual and you’ll likely see him out in the community building relationships with clients and perspective clients. He joins Platt Allen to build on this passion for serving and assisting clients in reaching their financial goals.

Charlie is originally from southern Ohio, he moved to Dayton, OH to attend Wright State University where he played golf during his college studies earning a Bachelor’s in Marketing. He resides in Bellbrook, OH with his amazing wife Jess and two boys Cohen & Daxon. They also have a goldendoodle name Ellie and an Aussie doodle named Penny.

Joseph Rank started his career in public accounting sector before transitioning to the Northwestern Mutual, Cincinnati and Dayton teams. His area of expertise includes planning, scheduling, and client services.

Joseph was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. Being a huge sports fan, Joseph loves to play golf and cheer on his beloved Cincinnati Bengals.

Emily has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2003. She’s held various roles throughout the years and has gained invaluable knowledge and experience as a result. Emily brings to her role with Platt Allen expertise in opening, servicing completing and submitting, all investment accounts and insurance policies, in addition to processing account transfers and retirement plan rollovers. She is the driving force behind the scenes of Platt Allen.

Emily enjoys making quality time with her family a priority.

Teri started her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2021 after a 21-year career supporting the C-suite Executive team at Speedway, LLC. Teri specializes in organizational, functional, and administrative support for both the CEO and President of Platt Allen. She enjoys figuring out how to piece the puzzle together to best propel her team, and ultimately our clients, in the direction of exceeding their goals.
Personal
Teri resides in Enon, Ohio. She is an avid sports enthusiasts and loves travelling the US and abroad for live sporting events – especially US Men’s Soccer Games with her son. In her free time, Teri coordinates the Honoring Yesterday’s Heroes program for Honor Flight Dayton, an organization that takes Veterans to Washington DC to visit their memorials. She also is a devoted volunteer for the Clark, Madison and Champaign counties United Way and the Springfield Salvation Army Angel Tree Programs.
